# Leaderboards

> Show participation rankings and keep a live leaderboard visible in a channel.

Hedwig gives your members several ways to see server participation rankings.
Regular leaderboards are viewed with commands, while the live leaderboard keeps
an updating leaderboard message visible in a channel.

## Regular leaderboards

These rankings use the server's participation data:

| Leaderboard | Command                                                                        |
| ----------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| Levels      | `,leaderboard lvl`                                                             |
| Invites     | `,leaderboard invites` or `,invitesleaderboard`                                |
| Messages    | `,leaderboard messages` or `,leaderboard dailymessages`                        |
| Voice time  | `,leaderboard voice`, `,leaderboard dailyvoice`, or `,leaderboard weeklyvoice` |

These regular leaderboard commands are message/prefix commands. Daily rankings
use the current UTC date, and weekly rankings use the computed UTC ISO week.

## Live leaderboard

The live leaderboard keeps a public activity view current without staff
reposting rankings. Setup requires **Manage Server**.

| Command                  | Use it to                      |
| ------------------------ | ------------------------------ |
| `/liveleaderboard setup` | Configure the live leaderboard |
| `/liveleaderboard reset` | Disable the live leaderboard   |

Choose a channel where frequent updates are welcome. Tell members what metric
the leaderboard represents and when it resets. The system is backed by the
server's tracked activity data; configure the relevant tracking feature before
expecting useful rankings.
