# Manipulation

> Create memes, captions, quotes, and image effects with Hedwig.

Manipulation commands create shareable images, memes, quotes, and visual effects.
Most of these commands are message commands, so use your server's configured
prefix. The examples below use the default `,` prefix.

  supported) a user, user ID, or image URL.

## Memes

## Quotes and captions

| Command                  | What it does                                       | Arguments               |

| `/quote` or `,quote`     | Turn a replied-to message into a quote             | Optional message reply  |
| `/caption` or `,caption` | Add custom text to an attached or replied-to image | Text and optional image |

## Image effects

These effects can target a mentioned user, user ID, username, image attachment,
or the image in a reply.

| Command       | Effect                     |
| ------------- | -------------------------- |
| `,blur`       | Apply a blur effect        |
| `,canny`      | Apply a canny image effect |
| `,glitch`     | Apply a glitch effect      |
| `,invert`     | Invert the image colors    |
| `,reflection` | Apply a reflection effect  |

## Tips

* Use the command in the same message as an attachment when the command accepts
  an image.
* Reply to an image or message when you want Hedwig to use that content.
* `quote` and `caption` are also available as slash commands.
* Use the server's configured prefix if it is not the default `,`.
