Responsible giveaway checklist

  • State the prize, duration, number of winners, and eligibility.
  • Keep the giveaway message in a channel members can find later.
  • Use /giveaway edit instead of starting a duplicate when a detail changes.
  • Use /giveaway reroll when a winner cannot claim the prize.
  • Record the final winner and handoff outside the bot if the prize is sensitive.
/giveaway edit is for an active giveaway, /giveaway end closes the active entry period, and /giveaway reroll applies to an ended giveaway. Keep the prize handoff and any eligibility verification with the staff team.
